Handmade bamboo whisk to prepare matcha tea the traditional way.
Green tea whisk or chasen is essential to make matcha. No power is required during whisking matcha tea. Make sure the fragile bamboo tops do not scrape the bottom of the bowl as this allows them to bend or break faster.
Other ways to make matcha, with lesser results:
1. Place the bamboo whisk in lukewarm water 10 minutes before use, thereby easing the needles.
2. After use clean whisk thoroughly with hot water and place on the whisk holder or upside down and let dry completely.
